Sunshine Barry & The Disco Worms – Synopsis

Fuelled by disco music's infectious energy, “Sunshine Barry & the Disco Worms” is a toe-tapping animated tale about a young worm pursuing a dream… to entertain the insect world through the power of the boogie!

It’s not easy being Barry, a young earthworm who is fed up with being at the bottom of the food chain. All the other insects in the backyard consider earthworms to be major losers and his only future prospect is a boring “career” as a mid-level manager in the compost-making industry! If Barry could have just one wish, it would be that he’d never been born a worm!

But his world is turned upside down when he stumbles upon an old disco record… and The Boogie enters his bloodstream. His body starts swaying… his feet start tapping… he's just gotta dance! Could this be the key to a more exciting life?

Together with Gloria, Tito, Donna and Jimmy, he enters a Song Contest, which is to be broadcast live to the whole backyard. But Barry has forgotten one minor detail… “Worms can't boogie!”… Will Barry manage to worm the boogie into the insect-audience???
