Following the successful commencement of operations in the United States, Singapore, Indonesia and Hong Kong, April 7, 2008 saw the entry of KRU into Europe with the incorporation of KRU Europe Ltd in London, England.

KRU Europe Ltd is the regional headquarters for its European operations and will focus primarily on the marketing of the KRU Group’s English film and music content. “Robert’s wealth of experience in the region will certainly help our foray into Europe” states Norman Abdul Halim, KRU Group’s President and Group CEO.

KRU Europe’s maiden project saw the auditioning of more than 600 hopefuls from the various Scandinavian countries, in the quest of formulating the optimum recipe of an all girl group. The auditions, held in the prestigious Cosmo Studios in Stockholm, which have been used by stars such as ABBA and Roxette to name a few, yielded “Ladylike”, with its members Miranda Hortland, Valerie Wigardt, Louise Tomassino and Isabel Billing.

Based on elements of pop rock, “Ladylike” will commence recording their debut album in Kuala Lumpur in June 2008, under the direction of Malaysia’s renowned producer/composer Edry Abdul Halim. The materials for the album await the arrival of its four members to record. The release of the album, accompanied by a promotional campaign, will be initially distributed in Asia and Europe, following which KRU will work towards a release in the United States.

KRU believes that projects of this nature will enable not only KRU, but also Malaysia, make its mark globally in the international music arena.
